Hadith 11:177
Hammam narrated to us, Affan narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Jahada narrated to us, that Abu Hasin narrated to him, that Abu Salih narrated to him, that Abu Hurayrah narrated to him, he said: A man came to the Prophet and said: "O Messenger of Allah, teach me a deed that equals Jihad." He said: "I do not find it." He said: "Are you able, when the Mujahid goes out, to enter your mosque, then stand and not grow weary, and fast and not break your fast?" He said: "I am not able to do that." Abu Hurayrah said: "Indeed, the horse of the Mujahid neighs in its tether, and good deeds are written for him because of it."
حدثنا همام نا عفان نا محمد بن جحادة أن أبا حصين حدثه أن أبا صالح حدثه أن أبا هريرة حدثه قال جاء رجل إلى النبي فقال يا رسول الله علمني عملا يعدل الجهاد قال لا أجده قال هل تستطيع إذا خرج المجاهد أن تدخل مسجدك فتقوم لا تفتر وتصوم ولا تفطر قال لا أستطيع ذلك فقال أبو هريرة إن فرس المجاهد ليستن في طوله فتكتب به حسناته
