Hadith 11:187
'Affan narrated to us, [saying] 'Ubayd Allah ibn Iyad narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Kabshah al-Bara' ibn Qays al-Saluli, who said: I was sitting with Sa'd while he was speaking to his companions. At the end of his speech, he said: "O people, indeed Allah intended ease for you and did not intend hardship for you. By Allah, by Allah, a single military expedition in the way of Allah is more beloved to me than two Hajj pilgrimages. And a Hajj pilgrimage that I perform to the House of Allah is more beloved to me than two 'Umrah pilgrimages. And an 'Umrah pilgrimage that I perform is more beloved to me than three [that I perform] at Bayt al-Maqdis."
