Hadith 11:218
'Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, that the first man to draw a sword in the way of Allah was al-Zubayr. That is because a whisper from Satan reached him, saying that the Messenger of Allah had been taken. So al-Zubayr went out, cutting through the people with his sword, while the Messenger of Allah was at the highest part of Makkah. He met the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said, "What is the matter with you, O Zubayr?" He replied, "I was informed that you had been taken." He then prayed for him and invoked blessings upon him and his sword.
حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه أن أول رجل سل سيفا في سبيل الله الزبير وذلك أنه نفحت نفحة من الشيطان أخذ رسول الله فخرج الزبير يشق الناس بسيفه ورسول الله بأعلى مكة قال فلقي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال مالك يا زبير قال اخبرت أنك أخذت قال فصلى عليه ودعا له ولسيفه
