Hadith 11:23
Waki’ narrated to us, [saying] Usama bin Zayd narrated to us, from Baj’ah bin ‘Abdullah al-Juhani, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A time will come upon the people in which the best of people in status is a man who takes hold of the reins of his horse in the way of Allah; whenever he hears a cry of alarm, he mounts its back, seeking death in its expected places. And a man in one of these mountain passes who establishes prayer, gives zakat, and leaves the people alone, except for [what is] good."
حدثنا وكيع نا اسامة بن زيد عن بعجة بن عبد الله الجهني عن أبي هريرة قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ياتي على الناس زمان يكون خير الناس فيه منزلة من أخذ بعنان فرسه في سبيل الله كلما سمع هيعة استوى على متنه ثم يطلب الموت في مظانه ورجل في شعب من هذه الشعاب يقيم الصلاة ويؤتي الزكاة ويدع الناس إلا من خير
