Hadith 11:244
Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Ja’far ibn Burqan, from Maymun ibn Mihran, who said: When Abu Bakr wanted to send an expedition, he would summon the people. When the number he desired was completed for him, he would equip them with what he had. The stipends (al-a’tiyah) had not been imposed during the time of Abu Bakr.
حدثنا حسين بن علي عن جعفر بن برقان عن ميمون بن مهران قال كان أبو بكر إذا أراد أن يبعث بعثا يدر الناس فإذا كمل له من العدة ما يريد جهزهم بما كان عنده ولم تكن الأعطية فرضت على عهد أبي بكر
