Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Thumamah ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Anas, from Anas, who said: I came upon Thabit ibn Qays on the day of al-Yamamah, and he was embalmed [with hanut]. I said, "O uncle, do you not see what the people have encountered?" He said, "Now, O son of my brother."
