Hadith 11:49
Waki’ narrated to us, [who said] Al-A’mash narrated to us, from Mujahid, from Yazid ibn Shajara, who said: "Swords are the keys to Paradise. So when a man advances toward the enemy, the angels say: 'O Allah, grant him victory.' And if he retreats, they say: 'O Allah, forgive him.' For the first drop that drips from the blood of the martyr, every sin of his is forgiven by it. And two houris descend upon him, wiping the dust from his face and saying: 'The time has come for you.' And he says to them: 'And for you two, the time has come.'"
حدثنا وكيع نا الأعمش عن مجاهد عن يزيد بن شجرة قال السيوف مفاتيح الجنة فإذا تقدم الرجل إلى العدو قالت الملائكة اللهم انصره وإن تأخر قالت اللهم اغفر له فأول قطرة تقطر من دم [ الشهيد ] يغفر له بها كل ذنب وينزل عليه حوراوان تمسحان الغبار عن وجهه وتقولان قد آن لك ويقول لهما وإنكما قد آن لكما
