Abu Bakr narrated to us, from Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman, from 'Asim, from al-Sha'bi, who said: "The marriage of the fornicator to the fornicatress is permitted." He said: And I asked al-Hasan, and he said to us: "No," meaning not regarding the one whose state is concealed (al-mastur), but the one who has been punished with the prescribed punishment (al-mahdud) does not marry except a woman who has been punished with the prescribed punishment (mahduda).
