Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1077

Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Harb, that Nafi' ibn Jubayr divorced his wife before he had consummated the marriage with her, so he completed the dowry for her. And he said, "I am more deserving of pardoning."
