Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from al-Zuhri, regarding [the verse]: "Unless they forgo [it]," he said: The previously married women. "Or [he] forgos in whose hand is the marriage contract," [refers to] the guardian of the virgin.
