Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1170

'Abdah narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, that he said: May Allah have mercy on 'Umar. Were it not that he forbade the Mut'ah, adultery would have become public.
