Hadith 9:1187

Humaid ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Musa ibn Abi al-Furat, from Amr ibn Dinar, that he was asked about a man who divorced his wife, and a man from the village came without his knowledge or her knowledge, and he brought forth something of his wealth, and married her to make her lawful for him. He said: "No." Then he mentioned that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked about the like of that, and he said: "No, not until he marries her, anticipating for himself, until he marries her, anticipating for himself. And if he does that, she is not lawful for him until she tastes the honey (i.e., has sexual intercourse)."
