Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1188

Mu'adh narrated to us, he said: 'Abbad bin Mansur narrated to us, he said: A man came to al-Hasan and said: "A man from my people divorced his wife three times, and he regretted it, and she regretted it. So I wanted to go and marry her, and give her a dowry, and then consummate the marriage with her as a man consummates with his wife, and then divorce her so that she becomes lawful for her [first] husband." He said: Al-Hasan said to him: "Fear Allah, O young man, and do not be a nail of fire for the limits of Allah."
