Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1190

Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from al-Aswad, from Abu al-Sanabil, who said: Subay'ah bint al-Harith delivered her child after the death of her husband by twenty-something nights. When she recovered from her postpartum bleeding, she adorned herself. That was criticized regarding her, and her matter was mentioned to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: "If she does that, then her term has indeed passed."
