Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1209

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar: He married a daughter of his to a man from his family, and he died before he had consummated the marriage with her, and he had not specified a dowry for her. They requested the dowry from Ibn ‘Umar, and he said, "She has no dowry." They refused to be satisfied with that, so they appointed Zayd ibn Thabit as an arbiter between them. They came to him, and he said, "She has no dowry; she inherits and she observes the waiting period (‘iddah)."
