Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1223

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Zabyan, who said: When Mu'adh arrived from Yemen, he said: "O Messenger of Allah, we saw a people prostrating to one another, so should we not prostrate to you?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No. Indeed, no one should prostrate to anyone other than Allah. And if I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone, I would have commanded the women to prostrate to their husbands."
