Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1241

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Firas, from al-Sha'bi, from Abu Burdah, from Abu Musa, who said: "Three [types of people] supplicate but are not answered: A man who gave his wealth to a foolish person, and Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said: 'And do not give the foolish your wealth.' And a man who had a wife of bad character, yet he did not divorce her or separate from her. And a man who had a right [due] upon a man, yet he did not call for a witness upon it."
