Khalid ibn Makhlad narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Musa al-Madani narrated to me, he said: Sa’d ibn Ishaq informed me, from his paternal aunt, from Abu Sa’id, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "A woman is married for one of three qualities: a woman is married for her wealth, [and] for her beauty; she is married for her religion. You must seek the one who possesses religion and character; may your hands be covered in dust [if you do not]."
