Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1252

Jarir narrated to us, from Mughira, from Umm Salama, who said: "No young woman in Medina would be escorted to her husband until she was taken through the mosque, where she would pray in it." Abu Bakr said: "He said, 'I think he said: two rak'ahs,' and until she was taken past the wives of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, so they would pray for her."
