Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from al-Hakam, who said: Abd al-Malik wrote to the people of Medina asking them. He said: So Ali wrote to him. Shu'bah said: And my assumption is that it is Ibn al-Husayn. He said: And Aban ibn Taghlib informed me, from al-Hakam, that it is Ali ibn al-Husayn. He said: She is a woman from the Azd, who is called Umm Sharik, who gifted herself to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
