Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1289

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Bard, from Makhul, who said: Umar ibn al-Khattab separated them and placed her dowry in the public treasury (Bayt al-Mal). Al-Zuhri said: Her dowry was not in the public treasury; it is [due to] what he obtained from her private parts.
