Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1306

Hafs narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from Ibn Sirin, that al-Ash'ath married a woman on the condition of her judgment [regarding the dowry]. So 'Umar asked him about it, and he said, "I spent a night, the knowledge of which is with none but Allah, fearing that she would judge against me regarding the wealth of Qays." He ['Umar] said, "That is not for her; she only has the dowry of women like her."
