Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1307

Ya'la ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Malik, from 'Ata', regarding a man who married a woman upon his own judgment [to set the dowry], and the woman died before the man had made his judgment. He said: "She is entitled to the dowry of [other] women of her status."
