Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1315

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sharik, from Abu Rabi’ah al-Iyadi, from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Ali: "Do not follow a glance with another, for you have the first [glance], but you do not have the second."
