Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1347

Muhammad ibn Sawa narrated to us, from Sa’id, from Abu Ma’shar, from Ibrahim, who said: If he lies to himself in the presence of a group, he should remain silent and seek forgiveness from his Lord, and he should not return to that.
