Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1418

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ayyub ibn Musa, from Ibn Qusayt, that Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyib was asked about a man who was given glad tidings of a slave girl, and some of the people said, "Give her to me." Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyib said: "The gifted [woman] is not lawful for anyone after the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. And if he were to give her a whip as a dowry, she would be lawful for him."
