Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Hammad, from Abu al-Darda’, who said: I asked al-Sha’bi about a man who married off a sister of his in Wasit, and she disliked it. He said: "She has more right to herself." I said: "He is her brother from her father and her mother." He said: "She has more right to herself than her father, if she dislikes it."
