'Abdah narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, from 'Aisha, regarding His saying: "And what is recited to you in the Book concerning the orphan girls to whom you do not give what is prescribed for them, and yet you desire to marry them." She said: It was revealed concerning the orphan girl who is under the care of a man, and she shares with him in his wealth. So he becomes reluctant to marry her, and he dislikes that anyone else should marry her, for then she would share with him in his wealth. So he leaves her suspended; he does not marry her, nor does he let anyone else marry her.
