Yazid narrated to us, he said: Hushaym narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, that a man married the daughter of 'Abd al-Khayyat, and she bore him a boy. Then he disowned him. Shurayh said to him: "What guided you to marry the daughter of 'Abd al-Khayyat while you are a man from the Arabs, of noble status in the [distribution of] stipends? And what prompted you to disown him?"
