Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:1601

Waki’ narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Ibrahim, from ‘Abd al-A’la, from Suwayd ibn Ghafala, who said: They used to dislike *al-shighar*. *Al-shighar* is for a man to marry a man [to his daughter or ward] on the condition that he marries him [to his daughter or ward] without a dowry.
