Jarir narrated to us, from Mughira, from Hammad, who said: If the pregnancy of his slave-woman becomes apparent, he has the right to deny it as long as he has not acknowledged it after she gives birth. And if he had acknowledged the pregnancy, then denied it after she gives birth, he has the right to do that.
