Suwayd ibn ‘Amr al-Kalbi narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn Abi Salamah, who said: Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah informed us, from Kathir ibn al-Salt, who said: A freed slave of ours married an Arab woman. He was brought to ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz so that he might punish him. He said: "By Allah, the freed slave of Abu Kathir has indeed transgressed his bounds."
