Hadith 9:24
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from al-Sha'bi, who said: A woman shall not be married except with the permission of her guardian. If she does not have a guardian, then the Sultan is the guardian.
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن أشعث عن الشعبي قال لا تنكح المرأة إلا بإذن وليها فإن لم يكن لها ولي فالسلطان
