Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi ‘Arubah, from Qatadah, regarding a man who marries a woman then divorces her before he has consummated the marriage with her: Can he marry her mother? He said: Ali said, "She is in the position of the stepdaughter."
