Hadith 9:45
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Idris narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from his mother, Buhayra bint Hani, who said: I married al-Qa'qa' ibn Thawr. He asked me [for my hand] and set for me a dowry of jewels on the condition that he spend a night with me. He spent the night, and I placed for him a vessel containing *khuluq* (a type of perfume). He woke up in the morning smeared with the *khuluq*, and he said to me, "You have disgraced me." I said to him, "Should someone like me be evil?" My father came from the Bedouins and sought justice against him from Ali. Ali said to al-Qa'qa', "Did you consummate the marriage?" He said, "Yes." So he validated the marriage.
