Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from 'Asim ibn 'Ubayd Allah, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Amir ibn Rabi'ah, from his father, that a man married during the time of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) for a pair of sandals, and the Prophet permitted his marriage.
