Hadith 9:56
Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim, who said: I do not know it except from his father, from Aisha, who said: When a young man from the children of her sister desired a young woman from the children of her brother, she would place a curtain between them and speak. When nothing remained except the marriage contract, she would say: "O so-and-so, marry, for women do not marry themselves."
حدثنا إبن إدريس عن بن جريج عن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم قال لا أعلمه إلا عن أبيه عن عائشة قالت كان الفتى من بني أختها إذا هوى الفتاة من بني أخيها ضربت بينهما سترا وتكلمت فإذا لم يبق إلا النكاح قالت يا فلان أنكح فإن النساء لا ينكحن
