Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:580

Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Dhi’b, from ‘Abd Rabbih, from Tawus, that he was asked about a woman who had a share [of ownership] fall to her in her husband, so she emancipated him the moment she possessed him. He said: "If it were the closing of a door, he would be separated from her."
