Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:586

Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Khalid ibn Kathir, from al-Dahhak, from Ali: "He is granted a respite of one year. If he reaches [his wife], then [it is well], and if not, then they are separated, and let them seek from the bounty of Allah." Meaning: The impotent man.
