Hadith 9:60
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed me, from the freed slave of Banu Hashim, from Ali, he said: A woman shall not witness—meaning the marriage contract—nor shall she perform the marriage.
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرني بن أبي ذئب عن مولى بني هاشم عن علي قال لا تشهد المرأة يعني الخطبة ولا تنكح
