Hadith 9:69
Fudayl ibn 'Iyad narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, who said: If a woman is among the dependents of her father, he does not need to seek her permission. But if she is not among his dependents, he must seek her permission when he intends to marry her off.
حدثنا فضيل بن عياض عن منصور عن إبراهيم قال إذا كانت المرأة في عيال أبيها لم يستأمرها وإن كانت في غير عياله استأمرها إذا أراد أن ينكحها
