Hadith 9:76
'Affan narrated to us, from Hammad bin Salamah, from Ayyub, from 'Ikrimah, that 'Uthman bin 'Affan, when he wanted to marry off one of his daughters, would sit by her curtain and say: "So-and-so is mentioning you."
حدثنا عفان عن حماد بن سلمة عن أيوب عن عكرمة أن عثمان بن عفان كان إذا أراد أن يزوج أحدا من بناته قعد إلى خدرها فقال إن فلانا يذكرك
