Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, from Habib, from Amr ibn Hani, who said: Jabir ibn Zayd was asked about a woman whose husband has been absent from her for a period of time, and she does not know whether he is dead or alive. He said: "She shall wait until she knows whether he is alive or dead."
