'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Dawud, from al-'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, that 'Umar gave the missing person's wife a choice, and she had married. So he chose the wealth, and he placed it upon her most recent husband. Humayd said: So I entered upon the woman regarding whom he had made this judgment, and she said: "So I helped my other husband with a slave girl."
