Hushaym narrated to us, from Khalid, from Marwan al-Asfar, from Abu Rafi’, that ‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan was asked about that, and ‘Ali and Zayd ibn Thabit were with him. He said: So ‘Uthman and Zayd granted a concession regarding that. They both said: "He is a husband." Then ‘Ali stood up, angry, disliking what they had said.
