Al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Yahya bin Sa'id, who said: It reached me that Umar bin Abd al-Aziz was asked about a woman who committed a sin, then he saw goodness from her: "May a man marry her?" He said to him: "The assumption is as it reached me," meaning: She is permissible for him.
