Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 9:911

Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad, from his father, from Aisha, who said: When one of us was menstruating, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would order her to wrap an izar (waist-wrapper) around her waist during her menstruation, and then he would have physical contact with her. And who among you can control his desire as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) could control his desire?
