Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim, from his father, who said: He recited this verse: "And there is no blame upon you for that to which you allude concerning a proposal to women." He said: He says during the waiting period (idda), "I am indeed eager for you," and "I am indeed desirous of you," and the like of this.
