Hadith 9:951

'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Dawud, from 'Abd Allah ibn Qays, that a servant of Abu Musa—who was the caretaker of his camels—married a slave woman belonging to the Banu Ja'dah and drove five camels to her [as a dowry]. Abu Musa was informed of this, so he sent to them, "Send my servant and my wealth to me." They said, "As for the servant, he is your servant, but as for the wealth, he has made the private parts of our companion lawful with it." They disputed before 'Uthman ibn 'Affan. 'Uthman judged for them [to keep] two-fifths of what he had made the private parts of their companion lawful with, and he returned three-fifths to Abu Musa.

حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن داود عن عبد الله بن قيس أن غلاما لأبي موسى وكان صاحب إبله تزوج أمة لبني جعدة وساق إليها خمس ذود فحدث أبو موسى فأرسل إليهم أرسلوا إلي غلاما ومالي فقالوا أما الغلام فغلامك وأما المال فقد استحل به فرج صاحبتنا فاختصموا إلى عثمان بن عفان فقضى لهم عثمان بخمسي ما أستحل به فرج صاحبتهم ورد على أبي موسى ثلاثة أخماسه
