Hadith 9:97
Zayd ibn Hubab narrated to us, from Thabit ibn Qays al-Ghifari, who said: I wrote to Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz regarding a slave girl from Juhayna whose guardian married her to a man from Qays, and another guardian married her to a man from Juhayna. Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz wrote back: "Bring in just witnesses to her, and give her the choice; whichever of the two she chooses, he is her husband."
حدثنا زيد بن حباب عن ثابت بن قيس الغفاري قال كتبت إلى عمر بن عبد العزيز في جارية من جهينة زوجها وليها رجلا من قيس وزوجها آخر رجلا من جهينة فكتب عمر بن عبد العزيز أن أدخل عليها شهودا عدولا وخيرها فأيهما اختارت فهو زوجها
